Privacy policy — RUNESIS Training

Last updated: 21 October 2026

This page covers the RUNESIS Training app on Android and iPhone. The French version is the reference version: politique de confidentialité (FR). The runesis.fr website has its own policy: website privacy (FR).

Who is responsible for your data

Guillaume Lioni, sole proprietor (RUNESIS), 2 impasse la Baute, 31600 Labastidette, France. SIREN 853 782 118. Contact: g.lioni@runesis.fr

In short

  • Your data is only used to run the app: record your workouts, analyse them and show them to you.
  • No ads, no advertising ID, no data sales.
  • Your health data is never used for advertising or passed on to data brokers.
  • You can delete everything at any time from the app: delete your account.

Data processed and why

Your account

Name, email address, password (stored encrypted, never readable), profile photo if you add one, and the sports information you enter (sports, goals, level). Used to create your account, sign you in and personalise your programs.

Your workouts and programs

Completed workouts, exercises, loads, reps, durations, distances, paces, times, how you felt and the programs you follow. Used to keep your history, compute your stats and track your progress.

Your location (GPS)

When you start an outdoor workout (running, trail, cycling…), the app records your location to draw your route and compute distance, pace and elevation. On Android, recording continues with the screen off through a foreground service, shown by a persistent notification for the whole workout. The app does not use your location outside a workout you started, and does not track it in the background the rest of the time.

To display the map, the app uses Google Maps on Android and Apple Maps on iPhone. These services receive the technical information needed to show the map (map area, IP address), under their own privacy policies.

Your health and activity data

Only if you allow it, the app reads:

  • on Android, through Health Connect: your exercise sessions, distances, heart rate and calories burned;
  • on iPhone, through Apple Health: the same types of data, depending on the permissions you grant.

They are only used to import your activities into RUNESIS Training and show your analyses (heart rate zones, load, progress). You choose each permission and can withdraw it at any time in Health Connect or in Settings › Health on your iPhone.

Use and transfer to any other app of information received from Health Connect will adhere to the Health Connect Permissions policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Apple Health data is never sold, used for advertising, or shared with third parties for advertising or data mining.

Your connected watches and apps

If you connect a service (for example Strava, Polar, COROS, Google Health), the app receives the activities and measurements that service shares with your consent: workouts, routes, heart rate, distances, durations. Used to import your workouts. You can disconnect a service at any time in the app; new data then stops being imported. Each service applies its own privacy policy.

The Community

What you post in the Community (posts, photos, comments, reactions) is visible to other members, with your name and profile photo. Your reports and blocks are recorded to moderate the Community and enforce the Community rules (FR).

Camera and photos

The app uses the camera only when you ask it to: to take a profile photo or a photo to post. It does not access your gallery without an action from you.

Notifications

If you accept them, the app sends you notifications about your training and the Community. You can turn them off in your phone settings.

RUNESIS+ subscription

Payment is handled by Google Play or the App Store. RUNESIS never receives your payment details: only your subscription status (active, plan, renewal date) to unlock RUNESIS+ features.

Store and RUNESIS Points

If you open the Store from the app or order with the same email address, information is exchanged with the website to apply your member discount and credit your points. Details are in the website policy (FR).

Technical data

Phone model, system and app version, error logs. Used to run the app and fix bugs.

Legal basis

  • Performance of the service you requested by creating your account: account, workouts, programs, subscription.
  • Your consent: location, health data, connected services, camera, notifications. You can withdraw it at any time, without affecting what was done before.
  • Legitimate interest: security, bug fixing, Community moderation.
  • Legal obligation: accounting records for purchases.

Who can access your data

RUNESIS, and the technical providers that run the app, only for this service:

  • Emergent: the platform on which the app and its servers are built and hosted;
  • Google (Google Play, Google Maps, Health Connect) and Apple (App Store, Maps, Apple Health);
  • the services you choose to connect.

No data is sold. No data is passed on to advertisers. If some of these providers process data outside the European Union, these transfers are covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an equivalent mechanism.

Security

Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS). Access to data is limited to what is needed to run the service.

How long

  • Your account and data: as long as your account exists. If you delete it, everything is erased within 30 days at most.
  • Purchase records: kept by Google Play or the App Store under their legal obligations.
